Decals - Required

  1. With this series being broadcasted & having a big-name sponsor like Sim Motion, we are requiring every driver to install & employ our GT3 decals. This is equally a bid to make the series more presentable, as well as help out our sponsor Sim Motion with further eyes.
  2. Each race without the decals will result in a points penalty. 1 race without will be a 20% penalty, your 2nd will be a 40% penalty, and the max penalty will cap at 60%.
  3. Obviously, this is a steep penalty. Having a partner such as Sim Motion provides us, and you with a great bonus incentive.
  4. For Season 15, if you don't have the decals on in time for Race 1 you won't get penalized as this is getting out with only a few days until the race. Round 2 is when penalties will accrue.

Car Lock

Race Starts

  1. Once all drivers are on the grid, the safety car will lead the field away, entering the pit lane at the end of the formation lap. The car on pole will then take control of the field and will be expected to maintain pace speed until the start of the race. In multiclass racing, each class leader for slower classes should leave a gap to the next class to allow room for different start timings! Drivers must keep their position and stay in their assigned column, and must keep pace with the car ahead where applicable (i.e. no “laying back” or other attempts to gain an unfair advantage).
  2. Each class leader may start the race at any point once the safety car has left the racing surface, and they are within the start zone indicated within the drivers briefing. Once the leader starts or green flag has been shown (whichever comes first), the race is underway. If the leader does not go full throttle before the track's start line or green lights, the line and/or lights will act as the race start line.

Weather

  1. BWLMS races will generally mirror the official weather for rain. If none of the weeks in the season have a rain chance, one race will be selected to have a realistic chance for light rain during the course of the event.

Etiquette Reminder

  1. All competitors are expected to respect standard multiclass racing etiquette. While the GT4 class is not required to jump off line immediately upon being shown a blue flag for an approaching LMP3, they will actively facilitate blue flag passing where safe and predictable. Much of the speed delta between the LMP3 and GT4 classes occurs mid-corner, and drivers in both classes must stay situationally aware and understand that "sticking to your line" doesn't always mean staying on the racing line from apex to apex. The track is wide and the cars are small enough that going two-wide is feasible through most corners. Caution, communication, and mutual respect are essential for a safe and competitive race, make your moves early and predictable.
  2. The Broken Wing Falken Series runs biweekly, and while we use a fast repair, mistakes will cost drivers significant preparation time and a two week wait until the next race. We do not always use tracks from the current iRacing official season, and we welcome and remind drivers of all skill levels that there is an expectation participants will have practiced adequately to ensure safe and respectful competition.

Richard Burns Rally

Rules

  1. Since this is a time based competition and you are not on track with other drivers, we don't have any specific sporting regulations outside of the established rules and regulations in RBR. All BWRL leagues are beginner friendly and community focused, and this league is no exception. Be respectful, helpful, and generally a nice person. We're all here to have fun, so don't be a jerk!
  2. Because this is a beginner friendly league, we will be running with reduced damage and ample repair opportunities in between stages - usually 10 minutes of service park with 4 experienced mechanics between stages, and 60 minutes in between legs. Normal pacenotes are allowed. SuperRally will also be enabled - if you are forced to retire from a stage, you are able to continue the rally with a 150% time penalty for all incomplete stages in that leg.
